01Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the AI food diary app "Calore" (the "App") handles your personal information and data.

By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

02Data We Collect

The App handles the following data.

Meal Photos

Images used temporarily for AI meal recognition. Photos are sent to Google's Gemini API for nutrition estimation but are not stored on Google's servers. Captured photos live only locally on your device and are never synced to our servers. You can delete individual photos from within the app.

Meal Records

Food name, calories, macronutrients (protein, fat, carbs), and meal timestamps. Stored locally using SwiftData. If iCloud sync is enabled, meal records are synced via Apple's CloudKit.

Profile Information

Gender, birth year, height, weight, activity level, and goal type. Stored only locally; never transmitted to external servers.

Health Data

Calore reads step count and active energy from Apple Health, and writes consumed calories, protein, fat, and carbs back to Apple Health. Health data is managed by Apple and never transmitted to Latty Cat.

Subscription Information

Processed through Apple StoreKit 2. The developer has no access to payment information. Trial status syncs via iCloud key-value store.

Usage Statistics

Non-identifiable usage statistics to improve app quality — session starts, feature usage, error events. No personally identifiable information.

03How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes.

  • AI meal recognition and calorie / macro estimation
  • Dashboard visualizations of your daily nutrition and goals
  • Writing nutrition data to Apple Health
  • Sending meal reminders and other notifications
  • Managing subscriptions and trial status
  • Statistical analysis for app-quality improvement
  • Displaying advertisements (free plan only)

04Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following services.

  • Google Gemini API (via Firebase AI Logic) — meal recognition & nutrition estimation. Photos are not stored on Google's servers. See the Gemini API Terms and Google Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase (Authentication / App Check) — routing Gemini requests and verifying app integrity. Anonymous authentication; no PII.
  • Apple HealthKit — reads steps / active energy, writes consumed calories and macros. Managed by Apple.
  • Apple CloudKit / iCloud — when enabled, syncs meal records and trial status across your devices.
  • Apple StoreKit — subscription payment processing.
  • TelemetryDeck — a privacy-focused analytics service. No IDFA or cookies; no PII. See TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdMob (free plan only) — advertisements for free plan users. Premium plan users see no ads.

05Data Storage and Protection

Your meal photos, records, and profile information are stored only on your device. iCloud sync (if enabled) shares meal records across your devices through Apple's CloudKit — never to Latty Cat's servers.

Industry-standard security measures protect your data.

06Your Rights

You have the following rights.

  • Delete the App to remove all local data from your device
  • Delete individual meal photos and records from within the App
  • Change Health, notification, and tracking permissions in iOS Settings
  • Disable iCloud sync from the App settings

07Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be updated as needed. Significant changes will be announced within the App and on this page.
